Goldsmiths’, University of London’s recent graduation ceremony was particularly emotional for CIS’s Security Team there. This year, the ceremony celebrated staff as well as students. Danny Nasr, Goldsmiths’ Student-body President had the honour of awarding the non-academic awards voted for by the university’s students.

The ‘Student Led Teaching Award’ for Goldsmiths’ favourite non-academic staff member was given to CIS Security’s very own Ibrahim Seak, who was said to be “one of the warmest presences at the university”. Danny Nasr gave a heartwarming introduction, testifying that “Ibby never cares whether you are staff or a student, he still treats everyone with the same level of respect and love that makes him such a great guy. He is a Goldsmith’s treasure!”. Ibrahim had the honour being allowed to wear a prestigious academic gown to accept his award.

Congratulations Ibrahim, we are so proud of you.
