CIS LEADERSHIP PROGRAM 2023

On the 14th of December, after what was 14 months from beginning to end, the big finale for the class of 2023 took place at the IDRC, Paternoster Lane, St. Pauls ……and it was well worth waiting for!

In a year that has witnessed the participants engage in numerous classes, undertake the challenges of home-based learning, be inspired by our guest speakers, and generally fully involve themselves in their personal development, it was only fitting that ‘Day 5’ was the success we had all hoped for.

This a day that started with more reflection, some very unusual energisers and the wholehearted support of peers, line management, our SLT and invited guests.

We were then treated to a series of emotional, honest, personal, clever, and well-considered presentations exploring the subjects of leadership and personality styles, adaptations of lessons previously taught, very emotive emotional journeys and academic and educational theory, to name a few.

Philip Thomas CSMP, Head of Colleague Development also stated:

“Everyone on the day was exceptional because they understood “Success is a state of mind. If you want success, start thinking of yourself as a success”

This has been a competitive and attritional process, Marianne Ibrahim, CIS Regional and Reporting Accountant was named our top student for 2023. In straightforward terms Marianne shone and was exemplary in all aspects of the programme, however, she was pushed and supported all the way by our ‘highly commended’ participants Tony Bailey Duty Security Manager at London Bridge City, Leah Andelle W. Security Supervisor at Warwick Court, Marko Vuković at Brindleyplace and Claude Coleman CIS Bid Coordinator, who all should be incredibly proud of themselves for their efforts and dedication throughout the year.

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who participated and supported the year and more importantly this key day in the evolution of the CIS Security Limited Colleague Development process, and here’s to the Class of 2024, starting on the 10th of January.”
