Today is International HR Day 2026, and we are proud to celebrate the incredible impact that our People & Culture team make in shaping a workplace where colleagues feel safe, supported and empowered.
These individuals embody everything this day stands for. They are passionate, and deeply people-focused, creating environments where colleagues can grow and thrive.
To mark this day, a few of our colleagues have reflected on what motivates them, what great leadership looks like, and why people will always be at the heart of what we do.
Our People and Culture Director, Tracy Plant – Chartered Fellow (FCIPD) shares; “I am motivated by watching our colleagues grow and progress in the company, particularly our apprentices. We have the most amazing Managers and Heads of Departments that started their careers with CIS from leaving full time education. Watching their confidence grow and to see them realise that they are capable of more than they thought. Helping people unlock that potential is what keeps me energised every day.”
Our People Partner, Keisha B., shares; “I’ve worked in HR for over seven years, and while many people see HR as only being there for disciplinary matters or dismissals, there’s so much more to the role. For me, employee wellbeing is always at the forefront. I genuinely enjoy connecting with teams, having meaningful conversations, and helping employees feel heard and supported.”
Our People Assistant, Evelin Korodi shares; “I think trust is built through consistency, honesty, communication, and authenticity. When leaders are approachable, and genuinely listen to their teams, it creates an environment where people can feel valued and supported.”
