We are delighted to introduce Jim McAllister QPM, our newly appointed Colleague Development Manager.
Jim has over 35 years’ policing experience with the Metropolitan Police, having started his career straight from school. Within this time, 26 years of Jim’s service was involved in and dedicated to the development and understanding of the policing response in public order and public safety at strategic tactical and operational levels. Jim was responsible for the identification, evaluation and the mitigation of risks within public order, occupationally and operationally.
Jim stated, “Although very new to the private security sector, I believe my career where I provided extensive public order public safety advice in spontaneous and pre-planned settings to strategic, tactical and operational commanders, can only assist all aspects of my new, exciting role within CIS”.

Jim will bring to CIS a wealth of expertise and experience ensuring that our Colleague Development Team continues to expand, establish, and lead on industry-leading personal development.
Jim is a nationally recognised expert in public order and public safety policing with extensive experience in all aspects of Strategic Command and Crisis Management, training design and consultancy. He has provided guidance and advice on regional, national, and international platforms. In addition to this he has been involved in the provision and delivery of the training of police leaders and resources in the UK, Europe, the Caribbean, Africa, and the Middle East. Jim was awarded the Queens Police Medal in 2022 for distinguished Police Service in Public Order Public Safety Policing. Jim will be a massive asset to all his CIS colleagues and our customers, and we are all very excited to be working with him”.
On his first impressions of CIS, Jim stated, “I am passionate about role-based training, standards and continuous professional development of colleagues. I always strive to ensure that the highest standards are set and achieved. I can already see in my time with CIS that there is a hugely friendly and professional outlook, focused on providing an outstanding service.
CIS have a great reputation across the industry, and I feel excited to be part of the future. I look forward to developing and providing a consistent and standard product, assisting with colleague development.
